The Inn
Notleymere was built in 1888 by the reverend Frank Norton as his summer home. The 8,800 square foot mansion on Cazenovia Lake was designed by Robert Gibson, the famous architect who also designed the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in New York City.
The Inn has been recently completely renovated, with every room painstakingly brought back to its original splendor. From the masculine Adirondack furnishings of the Teddy Roosevelt suite, to the romantic charm of the Cazenovia suite, each of the five rooms has its own charm and distinct design.
Common areas of the home include a large parlor with baby grand player piano, a library filled with books and CD's for your pleasure, and a large sitting area with an original beautifully carved fireplace. The dining room features original mahogany wood ceilings, an antler dining table and a stunning twig chandelier. Enjoy the outside from the 1700 square foot wrap around veranda overlooking the lake and gardens.
A short stroll to the lake provides another wonderful area in which to relax, fish, boat, swim or just meditate and enjoy the serenity and peacefulness of the area.
